Collaboration – The Power of 2

DSC_0972In 2001 I was planning to transition out of health care into a brand new career as a Life-Skills Coach. I launched my coaching business, “Prosperity Circles Coaching International,” and began a journey of exploring the power of collaboration. It was a time of becoming curious without being attached to specific outcomes. I was confident I had something of value to offer. I strongly believed that collectively we are much greater and more effective than we are individually. I had recently participated in a nine day International Intensive Training in Nonviolent Communication and a piece that stood out for me was that, “my feelings are connected to my needs, not to other people’s behaviour.” Continue reading

Inclusive Leaders come from many different backgrounds and bring what they learn at Inclusive Leadership back to many different communities. Alan Cundall has grown up in the Baha’i Faith Community and has experienced unity and inclusivity through his participation and facilitation within Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Groups.  Alan has also been participating in and facilitating within the Inclusive Leadership community for 7 years now (since 2009).  In this post, Alan shares his experiences exploring, sharing and celebrating the parallels between Inclusive Leadership and Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Groups. What is Inclusive Leadership anyway?

IMG_4809Inclusive Leadership is founded on the principles of biodiversity; the idea that species thrive in diverse ecological conditions where many types of plants and animals intermingle. And just as other species benefit from such conditions, humans grow and develop in diverse social groups (some examples of social groups include age or generation, cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic groups, ethnicity, gender and ability).
