On June 1, 2016 Joy Emmanuel and I represented the Inclusive Leadership Co-operative at the 2016 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Calgary, Alberta. One of two workshops we facilitated was an exploration of how Inclusive Leadership skills for Connecting with Differences and Communicating With Compassion can help co-operative associations, non-profit organizations, and any group of people become more co-operative.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is quickly demonstrating that he is a skilled Inclusive Leader. He highly values social diversity, biodiversity and inclusion. He believes strongly that these are fundamental Canadian values. Trudeau practices the four core skill sets involved in Inclusive Leadership on a daily basis by sharing leadership with others. He has spent his life Building Bridges within and between groups. He knows how to connect with differences, communicate with compassion, and how to stand up for diversity and inclusion.
