He has been a strong supporter of the ILC ever since. Stanley is an elected member of Canim Lake Band Council, a chemical addictions counsellor and a talented writer about social concerns). The ILC is thankful to Stanley for going to Surrey, BC to attend this Canadian Heritage News Conference on behalf of the ILC).
Today I got to meet Canadian Federal Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan. The federal government announced an additional 3.5 million dollars in funding in support of in support of multiculturalism, community activities and events, youth programs and anti-racism initiatives.
The Inclusive Leadership Co-operative is a recipient of $30,000 of this funding from Canadian Heritage! With this funding, the ILC hopes to increase its capacity for building bridges of diversity and to recognize all the beautiful gifts we have to offer and carry within ourselves. It will be amazing to see the funding transform into more inclusion for everyone (by preparing fifty new and experienced Inclusive Leaders from throughout BC to facilitate Inclusive Leadership workshops and Inclusive Leadership Adventure weekends). I am so very proud of this organization! And so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of their story and journey!
