Together We Can Forge Inclusive Solutions

“Our environmental, economic, political, social, and spiritual challenges are interconnected, and together we can forge inclusive solutions…Everyone shares responsibility for the present and future well-being of the human family and the larger living world. “(Earth Charter)

Around the world on January 22, 2017 in the Women’s March, MORE THAN FIVE MILLION women and men from diverse generations, cultures and other backgrounds marched on behalf of EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION. The signs showed our interconnected social and environmental issues and concerns. Now all over our planet it is time for us to roll up our sleeves, get together in small and large groups to explore, share, and take action to lovingly and passionately address these interconnected issues. This is the only time we have to transform our precious planet  – not through war and violence and materialism but through compassionately, courageously, and collaboratively embracing the magnificent diversity of all living beings as gifts that enrich our families, our neighbourhoods, our communities and the world.

“Life often involves tensions between important values. This can mean difficult choices. However, we must find ways to harmonize diversity with unity, the exercise of freedom with the common good, short-term objectives with long-term goals. Every individual, family, organization, and community has a vital role to play. The arts, sciences, religions, educational institutions, media, businesses, nongovernmental organizations, and governments are all called to offer creative leadership. The partnership of government, civil society, and business is essential for effective governance.” (Earth Charter)
