Inclusive Leaders, your friends, families, and colleagues who live on Vancouver Island in Canada (or who happen to be visiting!) are invited to show up in Duncan on Saturday, October 18th from 11 to 4 to experience a festival that aims to “enrich, educate, and inspire people to work together to create a healthier and more inclusive community.” As Inclusive Leader and Festival Organizer Pema Wangchen says, This is going to be great.”

At the Inclusive Leadership Co-operative, we are very grateful to Cowichan Intercultural Society for hosting and nurturing the development of Inclusive Leadership from 2003 to 2012. With so many Inclusive Leaders living in the Cowichan, Vancouver Island region, many local Inclusive Leaders are involved in the CIS One World Festival. For example, Linda McDaniels has taken on the challenge of making sure this is a Zero Waste event. At the same time, the goal of the Inclusive Leadership Co-operative is to share Inclusive Leadership with the wider world. We would love to hear news from Inclusive Leaders around the world about what you doing in your daily lives and in your local communities to put your Inclusive Leadership skills into practice. What Inclusive projects, programs and events are you involved in that are building bridges toward safety, respect, equality and joy? What are your stories of developing, facilitating and mentoring Inclusive Leadership skills for connecting with differences, communicating with compassion, and standing up for inclusion? What is changing as a result of embracing diversity in living beings as gifts that enrich the world?
Please send emails and photos to inclusiveleaders(at)gmail.com or post your news on the Inclusive Leadership Face Book page. As the Earth Charter says: “Our cultural diversity is a precious heritage and different cultures will find their own distinctive ways to realize the vision…Every individual, family, organization and community has a vital role to play.”
